Why Use Utah Marriage Apostilles
vs. Utah County’s Apostilles?
It’s not a competition, and we absolutely appreciate all the wonderful people who staff and serve couples at the Utah County Clerk’s Marriage Division! Our service was not started to replace theirs, as they have tens of thousands of documents to process every year, and they do a fantastic job.
We started our service because there is sometimes a need for urgency with documents and governments worldwide, and we aim to help fill the gap for those who have these urgent needs. As far as we are aware, there aren’t any other services which offer this level of speed and personalization for Utah County-issued marriage certificates.
If you are not in a hurry to get your document, the Utah County Clerk’s Marriage License Office has upgraded their system so that you will be able to order your apostilled document through them as you sign up for your marriage license. Their new system is great and is an easy, economical, and integrated solution for many couples worldwide.
What do I do before I order an apostille?
If you are reading this before you get your marriage license from Utah County, and you want to use our service, we can help save you some money! When you order a marriage license, the Utah County Clerk is required to send you that first original certificate from your marriage license order. If you use our office’s mailing address for shipping in the US, your cost for shipping when you get your license will be free. You don’t have to be one of our online wedding clients to order your apostille through our services!

If you choose our Speedy Apostille Economy processing, we can also use this first certificate in your order, which saves you the cost of purchasing an additional certificate ($12) just for the apostille.
If you opt for our Lightning Fast Apostille service, this includes picking up a new original certificate from the Utah County Clerk’s offices in order to get the apostille for it. Your original document will arrive later, usually within 3-5 business days after your ceremony.
When your first original certificate arrives at our offices, we can simply forward this to you using inexpensive postal mail so that you will have it for your records. We can also ship it via tracked mail or securely shred it for you.
I Already Have my Online Marriage License
If you already have ordered your online marriage license and paid for international shipping – you’ll still need to do a separate order through us if you need your documents faster. Utah County will not generally refund shipping, although it MAY be possible to email them and ask them to change the shipping address to our US mailing address. If not, you will have an extra apostille document when their services are completed.
If you have already ordered an apostille through the Utah County Clerk, we can still help! Just be aware that it is a completely separate order to go through our services and get it faster.
I Already Have a Utah County Marriage Certificate
We absolutely can help you with this! We can apostille any Utah County-issued marriage certificate no matter when you got married. Just get started with our intake form once you’ve decided on which apostille service you want.
How Do I Get an Apostille For ______ ?
We get this question sometimes and the answer is – we can, but we can’t do it super fast! For instance, we cannot pick up marriage certificates from other counties in Utah in person – and not because we don’t want to! It just has to do with the rules the various Counties in Utah have about who can order and pick up personal documents. This is similar for other legal documents including birth certificates, divorce decrees, death certificates and the like. Most of the time, ONLY the person named on the document or their direct family can pick up a document in person. You also cannot authorize us to pick up documents in person in the same way that we can for marriage certificates in Utah County. So this makes it impossible to offer our Lightning service for any other document. However – we would be happy to receive your document via mail and get it apostilled with our Speedy Apostille service!
